On Wednesday, India reported 16,047 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 54 fresh fatalities and 19,539 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry.
Comprising 0.29 percent of the total caseload, the active caseload currently stands at 1,28,261, said the ministry. The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate currently stand at 4.94 percent and 4.90 percent respectively.

With the recovery rate standing at 98.52 percent, the total tally of recoveries in the country has reached 4,35,35,610, including 19,539 recoveries in the last 24 hours, as per the data.
Delhi
On Tuesday, the national capital reported 2,495 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, as per the state health bulletin. With the positivity rate standing at 15.41 percent, the active caseload stands at 8,506, said the bulletin. The overall caseload of Covid-19 infections in the city stands at 19,73,394 and the death toll has climbed to 26,343, said the bulletin.
Maharashtra
On Tuesday, Maharashtra reported 1,782 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 7 fresh fatalities, taking the overall caseload of infections in the state to 80,62,519 and the death toll has climbed to 1,48,510, said the bulletin.
