On Saturday, July 2, India reported 17,092 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 29 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. Comprising 0.21 percent of the total cases, India's current active caseload stands at 1,09,568, said the ministry. With this, the total caseload of Covid-19 infections has reached 4,34,69,234 and the death toll has climbed to 5,25,139, said the ministry.

Delhi
On June 30, the national capital's total number of vaccine doses administered reached 3,50,31,791, including 1,40,56,975 adult beneficiaries. On Friday, the national capital logged 813 fresh Covid-19 cases and 3 fresh fatalities, with the positivity rate at 5.3 percent, said the state health department. With this, Delhi's total tally of Covid-19 infections has reached 19,35,687, and the death toll has risen to 26,264, said the department.
Mumbai
On Friday, Mumbai logged 978 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 2 fresh fatalities, taking the caseload to reach 11,13,470 and the death toll to reach 19,612, as per the state health bulletin.
Tamil Nadu
On Friday, Tamil Nadu registered more than 2,000 fresh coronavirus cases, taking the total tally of infections to reach 34,77,570, per the health department. With zero fresh fatalities, the death toll remains unchanged at 38,026 and the total caseload of recoveries climbed to 34,27,386 with 1,321 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the health bulletin.
