On Wednesday, July 27, India reported 18,313 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 50 new fatalities and 20,742 people recuperating from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the country's overall caseload of Covid-19 infections has climbed to 4,39,38,764.
Comprising 0.33 percent of the total infections, the active caseload has declined to 1,45,026, said the ministry. The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 4.31 percent and 4.57 percent respectively, said the ministry.

With the recovery rate currently standing at 98.47 percent, the total tally of recoveries stands at 4,32,67,571 including 20,472 recoveries being reported in the last 24 hours, said the ministry.
Maharashtra's Thane
In the last 24 hours, Maharashtra's Thane district reported 93 fresh infections of Covid-19, pushing the overall tally in the district to 7,33,636, said an official. With this, the active caseload in the district currently stands at 895. With no fresh fatality in the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 11,927, said the official.
Madhya Pradesh
On Tuesday, Madhya Pradesh logged 174 new cases of Covid-19 along with one new fatality. With this, the overall caseload in the state has reached 10,48,696, and the death toll stands at 10,749, as per the State health department.
Delhi
On Tuesday, the national capital reported 781 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 2 new fatalities, the positivity rate in the city stands at 6.40 percent, as per the city's health bulletin.
