On Friday, July 15, India reported 20,038 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 47 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry.
The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 4.44 percent and 4.30 percent respectively, said the ministry. With the recovery rate standing at 98.48 percent, the total tally of recoveries in the nation has climbed to 4,30,45,350 including 16,994 recoveries being reported in the last 24 hours.

Free Booster Dose Drive for 75 days begins today
From today, July 15, all the individuals in the age group of 18-75 years will be eligible to get a free precautionary dose against Covid-19 at government Covid vaccine centers.
In a statement, the Union minister said, "urged to give an intensive and ambitious push towards full Covid vaccination coverage by vaccinating all eligible beneficiaries and covering them with precaution dose."
The free dose will be offered to the citizens for 75 days till September 30 as a part of Amrit Mahotsava marking 75 years of India's independence.
Thane
On Thursday, Maharashtra's Thane district reported 168 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the overall caseload of infections to 7,32,105, as per the health department.
Delhi
On Thursday, the national capital logged 520 new Covid-19 cases along with one death, pushing the overall caseload of infections in the state to 19,42,425, as per the health bulletin. The death toll has climbed to 26,289, the bulletin showed.
