On Friday, India reported 20,551 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 53 fresh fatalities and 21,595 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the total tally of infections in the country has reached 4,40,87,037 and the death toll has climbed to 5,26,530.
Comprising 0.31 percent, the active caseload currently stands at 1,35,364, said the ministry. With the recovery rate standing at 98.50 percent, the total tally of recovery in the country has climbed to 4,34,45,624 including 21,595 recoveries in the last 24 hours, said the ministry.

The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 5.14 percent and 4.64 percent respectively.

On Thursday, the national capital reported 2,202 fresh Covid-19 cases for the second consecutive day, along with 4 fresh fatalities and 1,660 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry.
With the positivity rate standing at 11.84 percent, the active caseload in the state stands at 6,175.
