On Tuesday, India reported 2,483 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 1,399 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the active cases in the country have declined to 15,636
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), so far, 192.85 crore vaccine doses against Covid-19 have been provided to states/UTs. More than 19.90 crore vaccine doses are still available with states/UTs.
Wearing a mask is a mandate in Karnataka, Chhattisgarh
Amidst the rising concern over the fourth wave of Covid-19, the state governments of Karnataka and Chhattisgarh have mandated the wearing of masks on Monday. A circular has been issued by the government to all divisional commissioners and district collectors to ensure the implementation of Covid protocols. The order reads, "Masks or face covers will be compulsory with immediate effect. Spitting in public places is prohibited. Social distancing norms will have to be followed in public places."

Delhi
Delhi registered 1,011 fresh cases along with 817 recoveries and 1 fatality in the last 24 hours, as per the state health bulletin. The positivity rate in the national capital stands at 6.42 percent, said the bulletin.
Tamil Nadu
In a virtual meeting on Monday, Chief Minister M K Stalin asked district collectors to ensure the wearing of masks by people in the public places, reported PTI.
Mizoram
On Monday, Mizoram logged 107 fresh Covid-19 cases, pushing the tally to 2,26,886, as per the health bulletin. The positivity rate has climbed to 35.79 percent in 24 hours, the bulletin said.
