On Wednesday, India registered 2,927 fresh cases along with 32 fresh fatalities and 2,252 recoveries in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the total tally of Covid-19 infections has reached 4,30,65,496 as the active caseload stands at 16,279 in the country, the ministry said. 

With 32 virus-related fatalities in the last 24 hours, the total death tally in the country has reached 5,23,654, said the ministry. The total caseload of recoveries has reached 4,25,25,563, with 2,252 people recovering in the last 24 hours, said the data.

The nation's positivity rate 

The active cases comprise 0.04 percent of the total Covid-19 cases, with the nation's recovery rate standing at 98.75 percent, the data showed. As per the ministry, the nation's daily positivity rate stands at 0.58 percent and the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.59 percent. 

Delhi 

On Tuesday, Delhi logged 1,204 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 1 fresh fatality in the last 24 hours, as per the health department. The positivity rate in the national capital stands at 4.64 percent, while the total tally of Covid-19 in the state has reached 18,77,091 and the death toll has climbed to 26,169, said the health bulletin. 

PM Modi to conduct a meeting with CMs today 

Regarding the emergence of Covid-19 cases in the country, PM Narendra Modi will be conducting a meeting today at 12 pm with the Chief Ministers via video conferencing to review the situation of Covid-19, informed by PM Modi via Twitter.
