On Monday, August 29, India reported 7,591 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 45 fresh fatalities and 9,206 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. 

Comprising 0.19 percent of the total cases, the active caseload in the country currently stands at 84,931, said the ministry. With the recovery rate standing at 98.62 percent, the recovery tally has climbed to 4,38,02,993 including 9,206 fresh recoveries in the last 24 hours, said the data.

The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 4.58 percent and 2.69 percent respectively.

Maharashtra 

On Sunday, Maharashtra reported 1,639 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with 5 fresh fatalities, pushing the overall tally of infections to reach 80,96,484 and the death toll has climbed to 1,48,229, said the state health bulletin. 

Mumbai 

On Sunday, Mumbai logged 610 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 4 fresh fatalities, taking the overall tally of Covid-19 infections in the state to reach 11,43,318, and the death toll to 19,688, as per the health bulletin. 

Delhi 

On Sunday, the national capital logged 397 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 5 fresh fatalities, said the health bulletin.
