On Tuesday, India has logged 795 fresh cases of Covid-19, along with 1,208 recoveries and 58 fresh fatalities due to the viral infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Ministry of Health. 

The active caseload of Covid-19 

With this, the total tally of Covid-19 in India has climbed to 4,30,29,839 and the active cases declined to 12,053, said the health ministry. The active cases comprise 0.03 percent of the total infections, the ministry said in the recent update. 

India's death toll and recovery rate 

As per the data, after 58 deaths, the death toll has reached 5,21,416. Meanwhile, the nation has recorded a daily positivity rate of 0.17 percent and a weekly positivity rate of 0.22 percent, said the ministry. With 1,208 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, the total caseload of recoveries from Covid-19 has climbed to 4,24,96,369, said the data. 

Vaccination coverage 

In India, so far 184.87 crores of vaccine doses have been administered. As per the ministry, more than 14 crores of vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. 

Covid-19 in Delhi 

On Monday, Delhi has reported 82 fresh cases of Covid-19. With this, the active caseload of Covid-19 in the national capital has reached 468, reported ANI. 

Maharashtra 

Maharashtra's Thane district has logged 6 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the total tally of infections to 7,08,810, said an official on Tuesday. As per the official, these cases were recorded on Monday. Meanwhile, the district has reported zero fresh fatalities, the death toll stands at 11,883.
