On Tuesday, India has recorded 10,423 fresh Covid-19 cases which is the lowest in 250 days and 16% lower than yesterday, as per the latest data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With 443 virus-related fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, the death toll has climbed to 4,58,880. At least 15,021 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries to 3,36,83,581.

Active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.45%. The active caseload stands at 1,53,776, which is the lowest in 250 days. The weekly positivity rate of 1.16% is less than 2% for last 39 days. Daily positivity rate of 1.03% is less than 2% for the last 29 days.
According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), total 61,02,10,339 samples have been tested for Covid-19 till November 1 including 10,09,045 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
