On Monday, India has recorded 11,451 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 13,204 recoveries and 266 virus related fatalities, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. Total tally of Covid-19 cases in the country stands at 34,366,987 including 33,763,104 recoveries, 461,057 deaths and 142,826 active cases.
Active cases account for 0.42% of total cases which is the lowest since March 2020. Recovery Rate currently stands at 98.24% which is the highest since March 2020. Active caseload in the country stands at 1,42,826 which is the lowest in 262 days, says the health ministry.

On Monday, an official said, "Thane has added 118 new cases of coronavirus, taking the infection count in the Maharashtra district to 5,66,749. These new cases were reported on Sunday."
On Sunday, Bihar has achieved a milestone in the Covid-19 vaccination drive by crossing a benchmark of administering seven crore doses, State Health Minister Mangal Pandey said. Speaking to ANI, Mr Pandey said, "We have completed over 7 crore vaccination today. It's a mass movement."
