On Saturday, India has reported 16,326 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With 666 fresh fatalities the total death toll has reached to 4,53,708. Active cases have declined and now stand at 1,73,728, said the union health government in latest data update. 

Meanwhile, Assam has reported a total of 315 fresh Covid-19 infections, 209 recoveries, and two deaths in the last 24 hours. Delhi has recorded 38 fresh cases with positivity rate at 0.07%. West Bengal has reported 846 new cases, 792 recoveries and 12 deaths in the last 24 hours. Mumbai has reported 421 new cases, 490 recoveries and 5 deaths in the last 24 hours.  

Taran Prakash Sinha, District Collector of Rajnandgaon said, "More than 15 lakh people have been vaccinated both the doses of Covid-19. 90% of eligible population of the district has been inoculated with single dose of the vaccine." 

A new study published in The New England Journal of Medicine has found that there is no correlation between vaccinations and risk of first-trimester miscarriages, providing further evidence of the safety of Covid-19 vaccination during pregnancy.
