On Friday, India has reported 25,920 fresh Covid-19 cases which is 4,837 less cases than yesterday along with 492 deaths, and 66,254 recoveries in the last 24 hours, said the Union Health Ministry. With this the Covid tally of the country has reached to 4,27,80,235. As per the Union health ministry data, the recovery rate crossed the 98 per cent-mark again. The death count has reached to 5,10,905 with 492 daily fatalities, said the data updated at 8 am on Friday. 

A total of 66,254 patients have recovered yesterday and the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic is now at 4,19,77,238, sai dthe ministry. India's recovery rate stands at 98.12 per cent. 

Mumbai 

259 more people have tested positive for the infection and the active tally has dropped below the 2,000-mark, said the city's civic body. With this, the overall tally of Covid-19 infections in the state has jumped to 10,54,991, whereas the death toll stands at 16,685, as per a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) bulletin. 

Mizoram 

Mizoram has reported 1,571 new Covid-19 cases, which are 45 less than the previous day, taking the state's tally to 2,02,206. The death toll has risen to 640, reported ANI.
