On Saturday, India has reported 3,614 new Covid-19 cases along with 89 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health ministry at 9 am. With this, the active Covid-19 cases in the country have declined to 40,559. With 89 fresh fatalities due to the viral infection in the last 24 hours, the death toll of Covid-19 has reached to 5,15,803, said the ministry. Meanwhile the tally of total recoveries in the country has reached to 4,24,31,513 and the tally of total vaccination stands at1,79,91,57,486.
Mizoram
On Friday, Mizoram health minister R. Lalthangliana Friday said, "though the state reports more cases of Covid-19 daily than other states, the number of patients affected by the disease and needing hospitalization has significantly declined."
Jammu and Kashmir
On Friday, Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 21 fresh Covid-19 cases pushing the tally to 4,53,403, said the officials.
Tamil Nadu
In the last 24 hours, Tamil Nadu has reported zero fatalities due to Covid-19 and logged 112 new infections taking the caseload to reach 34,51,710, said the Health department on Friday. Fatalities remain unchanged at 38,023 with zero fatalities in the last 24 hours, said a medical bulletin.
Delhi
As per the State Health department, Delhi has reported 174 fresh Covid-19 cases along with zero fatality in the last 24 hours. Positivity rate in the national capital stands at 0.45 per cent.
Kerala
Kerala has reported 1,175 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. As per the state government health bulletin, the state has 10,511 active cases with 1,612 recoveries in the last 24 hours.
Mumbai
On Friday, Mumbai has reported 54 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 10,57,188, while the death toll remained unchanged at 16,692 for the fifth consecutive day, a civic official said. So far, 10,37,232 people have been discharged post recovery, including 78 during the day, leaving Mumbai with an active tally of 381, he said.
