India has reported 23,529 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours which is an increase of 24% from yesterday when the country had recorded less than 20,000 cases. With this, the total number of coronavirus cases has rose to 3,37,39,980. Along with this, 311 deaths due to Covid-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours, the death count has reached to 4,48,062. The active caseload at present stands at 2,77,020.

The cumulative Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has crossed 88 crore as a total of 59,48,118 vaccine doses were administered in a day, whereas the total vaccinations stand at 88,34,70,578. 

As reported by ICMR, total 568,956,439 samples have been tested for Covid-19 till September 29, 2021, including 1,506,254 samples on September 29, 2021. 

Thane has reported 315 fresh cases of Covid-19,pushing the tally of total infection in the Maharashtra district to 5,59,110. 

Andhra Pradesh has reported 1,084 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 13 fatalities in the last 24 hours. As per the state health department bulletin, the total count of cases stands at 20,46,419 including 11,655 active cases.
