On Wednesday, India has reported 11,903 new cases of Coronavirus disease, along with 14,159 recoveries and 311 Covid-19-related fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. Further, as many as 14,159 people recovered from the viral disease in the past 24 hours. With fresh cases, the active caseload in the country now stands at 1,51,209 which is the lowest in 252 days. With 14,159 recoveries in the last 24 hours, total tally of Covid-19-related recoveries in the country have soared to 3,36,97,740, taking the recovery rate to 98.22%. This is the highest since March 2020. 

As per Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), total tally of Covid-19 vaccination administered in the country has reached to 1,07,29,66,315 including 41,16,230 vaccinations administered in the last 24 hours. On Wednesday, in Thane district of Maharashtra, with 131 new cases of coronavirus the infection count has reached to 5,66,130, along with 6 more fatalities pushing the death count to 11,529.  

Assam has reported 270 fresh Covid-19 cases and 7 fatalities in the last 24 hours, stated the state health department on Tuesday. As per the state health bulletin, "with the addition of the new cases, the active caseload in the state stands at 2,385. With 159 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours, the total recoveries mounted to 6,01,468. As many as 6,11,211 Covid-19 cases have been reported in the state so far and the death count in the state stands at 6,011."
