On Thursday, India has registered 18,987 fresh Covid-19 cases which is 20% higher than yesterday. With 19,808 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the cumulative recoveries has climbed to 3,33,62,709. Currently, active caseload in India stands at 2,06,586. 

According to Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 58,76,64,525 samples were tested up to October 13 including 13,01,083 samples tested yesterday.  

The national Covid-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.07%, as per the Union Health Ministry's data at 8 am.

The numbers of deaths have reached to 4,51,435 with 246 new fatalities, as per the data updated at 8 am.

The daily rise in new coronavirus infections has been below 30,000 for 20 straight days and less than 50,000 daily new cases have been reported for 109 consecutive days now.
