India has registered 38,948 new Covid-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours, 43,903 recoveries and 219 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the data released by Health Ministry.The daily positivity rate has dropped by 8.9% from yesterday. The active cases in the country now stands at 4,04,874. However, the total caseload of the disease has reached 3,30,27,621. The total recovery tally has reached 3,21,81,995 alongwith death tally at 4,40,752. The country has administered 68,75,41,762 total vaccinations. 

Meanwhile, Mumbai has witnessed a massive crowd gathering at the Dadar market last evening ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi. The crowd was seen violating Covid protocols, including lack of social distancing and people roaming without proper face masks. 

As per the Delhi government's vaccine bulletin, which reports figures from the previous day, a total of 1,68,283 people were administered the vaccine on Saturday. On Saturday, 1,02,822 beneficiaries received the first dose and 65,461 the second dose. 

On Sunday, Maharashtra has registered 4,057 fresh positive cases. The state's disease tally has reached to 64,86,174, and the death of 67 patients pushed the toll to 1,37,774, the health department stated. A total of 5,916 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the recovery count to 62,94,767. There are 50,095 active Covid-19 cases in the state, the department said in a statement.
