On Saturday, India saw an increase in daily fresh cases of Covid-19. The nation has recorded 1,105 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the total caseload of Covid-19 infections to 4,30,34,217, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. The active cases have declined to 11,492, said the ministry.
With 83 fresh fatalities due to the viral infection, the death toll has climbed to 5,21,656, said the data. As per the ministry, the active cases comprise 0.03 percent of total Covid-19 cases, with the national recovery rate standing at 98.76 percent, said the health ministry. The nation's daily positivity rate stands at 0.24 percent and the weekly positivity rate has reached 0.23 percent, as per the health ministry.
Warning issued to Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Mizoram
The central government has warned Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, and Mizoram over rising Covid-19 cases.
Delhi
Delhi has reported an increase in fresh Covid-19 cases with 826 fresh cases being recorded in the week ending on April 8, comprising 11.33 percent of the nation's fresh cases, said the health ministry.
Haryana
Haryana has recorded 416 fresh cases in the week ending on April 8, constituting 5.70 percent of the nation's fresh cases, as per the data.
Maharashtra
Maharashtra has registered 794 fresh cases in the week ending on April 8, comprising 10.09 percent of India's total fresh cases, said the data.
Mizoram
Mizoram has logged 814 fresh cases in the week ending on April 8, constituting 11.16 percent of the nation's fresh cases, said the health ministry.
