On Thursday, India has reported 1,233 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 28 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the Union health ministry data update.
The total number of infections in the country has reached 4,30,24,440. The current active caseload in India stands at 14,307.
The death toll and recovery rate
The death toll has reached 5,21,129 with 28 fresh fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Ministry of Health.
At present, India's Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.75 percent. As per the Union health ministry, the daily positivity rate stands at 0.20 percent, while the weekly positivity rate has been recorded at 0.25 percent.
Vaccination coverage
India's Covid-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 183.79 crores.
Under the recently started Covid vaccine drive for children in the age group of 12-14 years, more than 1.50 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far, including 12,74,719 beneficiaries being vaccinated in the last 24 hours.
DDMA to conduct a meeting for discussion
On Thursday, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) will hold a meeting in order to discuss the pandemic situation in the national capital. The meeting will be chaired by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal at 3:30 pm. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyender Jain, Revenue Minister Kailash Gahlot, and senior officials and expert members are expected to attend the meeting.
