On Thursday, India has reported 14,148 fresh Covid-19 cases, as per the Union health ministry data. With 302 fresh fatalities due to the viral infection, the death toll has climbed to 51,29,24. At present, India's active caseload stands at 1,48,359.
Vaccination
In the ongoing vaccination drive against Covid-19, 60,816 beneficiaries were vaccinated in the last 24 hours. Of these, 7,266 took their first dose and 50,180 their second dose.
Delhi
On Wednesday, Delhi has reported 583 fresh Covid-19 cases and three deaths, while the positivity rate rose to 1.05 percent, slightly higher than Tuesday’s numbers. The cumulative number of cases in the capital currently stands at 18,57,598 and the death toll has reached to 26,109.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands
On Thursday, the Covid-19 infection tally of Andaman and Nicobar Islands rose to 10,015 with three more people testing positive for the infection, said a health bulletin. The death toll due to the infection has remained unchanged at 129 as no fresh fatality was recorded, it said. Currently, the Union territory has 24 active cases, while 9,862 people have recovered from the disease so far, including eight in the last 24 hours, reported PTI.
Mexico
On Wednesday, Mexico has reported 449 fresh fatalities due to the viral infection, pushing the official death toll to 316,941, according to health ministry data.
