On Monday, June 27, India logged 17,073 new coronavirus cases along with 21 new fatalities and 15,208 people recuperating from the viral infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the overall caseload of Covid-19 infections in the nation has climbed to 4,34,07,046 and the death toll has reached 5,25,020, said the ministry.
As per the Health Ministry, comprising 0.22 percent of the total cases, the active caseload has increased by 1,844 cases in the last 24 hours to reach 94,420. The weekly positivity rate and the daily positivity rate stand at 3.39 percent and 5.62 percent respectively. With the recovery rate standing at 98.75 percent, the total tally of recoveries from Covid-19 infection has reached 4,27,87,606.

As per the data updated by the Health Ministry, with 2,49,646 vaccine doses being administered in the last 24 hours, the overall tally of vaccinations in the country has reached 1,97,11,91,329.
Mumbai
In the last 24 hours, Mumbai reported 2,771 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 5 fresh fatalities, taking the overall tally of infections and death toll to reach 11,07,449 and 19,599 respectively.
Chhattisgarh
On Sunday, Chhattisgarh logged 98 fresh cases of coronavirus, with the positivity rate standing at 2.17 percent and the overall caseload reaching 11,53,742, as per the official. With no fresh fatality, the death toll remains unchanged at 14,036, said the official.
