On Friday, June 24, India reported 17,336 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with 13 fresh fatalities and 13,029 people recuperating from the disease in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.60 percent, said the ministry. The active caseload in the nation stands at 88,284, with the daily positivity rate standing at 4.32 percent and the weekly positivity rate standing at 3.07 percent, said the ministry.
As reported by the Times of India, State Surveillance Officer Dr. Pradip Awate said, "The ICMR portal was not functional for over 24 hours and the BMC data team was unable to update the tally."
Delhi
On Thursday, the national capital logged 1,934 fresh cases of coronavirus along with no fresh fatality, as per the city's health bulletin. This is for the sixth consecutive day that the cases of Covid-19 in Delhi have remained at more than 5,000. The national capital is having a positivity rate of 8.10 percent, said the bulletin.
Maharashtra
On Thursday, Maharashtra reported 5,218 fresh Covid-19 cases, which is a 60 percent rise from the previous day's fresh cases. Out of this, 2,479 fresh cases were reported from Mumbai. Pune counted 665 cases, 135 cases in Nagpur, 72 cases from Kolhapur, 63 in Akola Circle, Nashik logged 62 cases, and Latur and Aurangabad reported 31 and 24 cases respectively, as per the state's health department.
