India has reported 2,09,918 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to Union health ministry data updated on Monday. With 959 deaths, the death toll has climbed to 4,95,050, the ministry said. However, the active cases declined by 53,669 to reach 18,31,268 and comprise 4.43 per cent of the total infections, while the country’s recovery rate stands at 94.37 per cent, the ministry said.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 15.77 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was 15.75 per cent, the ministry said. The number of people who have recovered from the disease increased to 3,89,76,122, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.20 per cent, the ministry said.
