On Tuesday, May 10, India registered 2,288 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 10 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry.
The nation's active caseload has declined to 19,637 in the last 24 hours. The total tally of Covid-19 infections in the country has climbed to 4,31,07,689, said the ministry. The active cases comprise 0.05 percent of the total infections in the country.
With 10 fresh fatalities, the death toll has reached 5,24,103 in the last 24 hours, the data showed. The daily positivity rate in the country has reached 0.95 percent, while the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.82 percent.
Mumbai
On Monday, Mumbai registered 63 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the total tally to 10,60,792, said a civic official. With zero fresh fatality, the death toll remains unchanged at 19,563. With 56 people recovering from the deadly infection, the total tally of recoveries has reached 10,40,407, said the official.
Delhi
In the last 24 hours, the national capital reported 799 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 3 fresh fatalities and 1,366 recoveries, as per the health bulletin. The positivity rate has declined to 4.94 percent, showed the data. On Sunday, the national capital reported 1,422 fresh Covid-19 cases, with the positivity rate standing at 5.34 percent, said the bulletin.
Telangana
On Monday, Telangana reported 34 fresh cases of coronavirus, pushing the tally of infections to 7,92,361, as per the health bulletin. The highest number of cases has been reported as 21 in Hyderabad. With zero fresh fatality, the death toll remains stable at 4,111, said the health department.
