On Tuesday, India has reported 2,38,018 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which is 7 per cent lower than 2.58 lakh daily cases, according to the Health Ministry. As per the ministry, with 310 fresh fatalities due to Covid during the past 24-hour period, the total death tally in the country due to the infection has reached to 4,86,761. 

India’s total tally of COVID-19 cases has climbed to 3,76,18,271 including 8,891 cases of the Omicron variant. The active caseload in the country has reached to 17,36,628, which is the highest in 230 days, said the ministry. 

Vaccination 

India’s cumulative Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 158.04 crores, including around 80 lakh vaccine doses administered in the last 24 hours, said the Union health ministry.
