India has reported 2,58,089 fresh Covid-19 cases and 385 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by Health Ministry on Monday. India's active caseload currently stands at 16,56,341 with 1,51,740 fresh recoveries in the last 24 hours, said the data. Omicron case tally has reached 8,209 in the country. 

As per the Ministry, the active cases now comprise 4.43 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has decreased to 94.27 per cent. The daily positivity rate is up from 16.28% to 19.65% while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 14.41 per cent. 

Delhi 

On Sunday evening, Delhi has reported 18,286 fresh Covid-19 cases, which is 13 per cent fewer than Saturday's number 20,718, the positivity rate in the city stands at 27.87 per cent, according to health department data. The national capital also reported 28 Covid deaths. The active Covid caseload in the city is at 89,819.
