On Thursday, India has reported 3,17,532 fresh Covid-19 cases and 491 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 38,218,773, said the Union health ministry's data. The active caseload of the country stands at 19,24,051 with 2,23,990 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours, said the ministry.

Total tally of Omicron cases in India has reached to 9,287. With more cases registered in Maharashtra and capital Delhi. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has informed that 19,35,180 sample tests were done for corona virus in India yesterday, after which a total of 70,93,56,830 sample tests have been done till yesterday. 

Delhi 

On Wednesday, Delhi has reported 13,785 fresh Covid-19 cases and 35 deaths. With 16,580 people recovering from the virus, the active number of cases in the city stands at 75,282. The city’s positivity rate on Wednesday was recorded at 23.86 per cent.
