On Monday, May 9, India reported 3,207 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. The nation's active cases currently stand at 20,403, said the ministry. Active cases comprise 0.05 percent of the total infections and the recovery rate stands at 98.74 percent, showed the data.
The nation's daily positivity rate has reached 0.95 percent and the weekly positivity rate stands at 0.82 percent, the data said. With 3,410 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, the ministry said the total caseload of recoveries has reached 4,25,60,905.

Delhi
As per the city's health bulletin, the national capital logged 1,422 fresh cases on Sunday. With 1,483 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total tally of recoveries in the nation has reached 18,62,136, said the bulletin.
Punjab
On Sunday, Punjab registered 23 fresh Covid-19 cases, pushing the total tally of Covid-19 infections to 7,59,905, said a medical bulletin. With zero fresh fatality in the last 24 hours, the bulletin said the death toll remains unchanged at 17,751. The positivity rate in the city stands at 5.74 percent. The recoveries caseload in the state has reached 7,41,870, with 23 recoveries being recorded in the last 24 hours, the bulletin showed.
West Bengal
On Sunday, West Bengal registered 51 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the infection tally to 20,18,579, as per the health bulletin. With zero fresh fatality being recorded in the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 21,203, said the bulletin.
