On Wednesday, India registered 37,875 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The active cases in the country now stands at 3,91,256, comprising 1.18% of the total infections, according to the data upadted by Union Health Ministry. The total tally of Covid-19 infected cases has increased to 3,30,96,718. The caseload of deaths has climbed to 4,41,411 including 369 fresh fatalities, as per the data updated at 8 am.

The national Covid-19 recovery rate is standing at 97.48%, the ministry said. However, a decrease of 1,608 cases has been recorded in the active Covid-19 caseload in a span of last 24 hours. 

A study conducted by the civic-run SevenHills Hospital reveals that "nearly 7% of patients admitted with Covid-19 have developed a mental health issue- depression, anxiety, psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder that required expert intervention." 

As reported by ANI, "Of these 37,875 new #COVID19 cases and 369 deaths reported in the last 24 hours in India, Kerala recorded 25,772 cases and 189 deaths yesterday."
