On Tuesday, India has reported 3,993 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 108 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. The active Covid cases have decreased to 49,948 and the death toll has reached to 5,15,210. The total tally of Covid-19 cases in the country has reached to 4,29,71,308, while the active cases dipped to 49,948, the ministry said.

As per the ministry, the active cases comprise 0.12 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate further improved to 98.68 per cent. The active caseload in India has further declined to 49,948, with a drop of 4,170 such cases. 

The daily positivity rate was recorded as 0.46 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was 0.68 per cent, according to the ministry. As per the health ministry, so far, India has conducted 77.43 crore tests for Covid-19 detection including 8,73,395 tests being conducted in the last 24 hours. The active cases comprise 0.13 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has further improved to 98.68 per cent, the ministry said. 

Cases in Mizoram 

In the last 24 hours, Mizoram has reported 839 fresh cases along with 664 deaths. Active cases in the state stand at 4209. 

Kerala 

Kerala has reported 1,223 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 4 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the state health department. 

Tamil Nadu 

Tamil Nadu has recorded 158 fresh Covid-19 cases along with two deaths in the last 24 hours, said the State Health department.
