As per the data released by Health Ministry, India has recorded 41,965 fresh cases and 460 deaths in the last 24 hours. On Tuesday, "the daily Covid-19 vaccinations crossed the one crore mark for the second time in five days, taking the cumulative doses administered in the country to over 65 crore", the Union Health Ministry said. As per the data of CoWin portal, a record high of over 1.28 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, "the highest one-day record of 1.09 crore vaccine doses has been achieved till 6 PM." 

Mumbai

Thane has reported 205 new cases of coronavirus infection, taking the infected caseload in the Maharashtra district to 5,51,444, an official said. The mortality rate in Thane due to Covid-19 stood at 2.04%, he added. 

West Bengal

West Bengal's caseload of Covid-19 reached to 18,447 after 13 more patients succumbed to the infection on Tuesday, a bulletin released by the health department said.  The active caseload has mounted to 15,21,342 with 640 fresh cases, it said. The state now has 8,815 active cases, while 15,21,342 people have recovered from the disease so far, with the discharge rate improving to 98.24 per cent. West Bengal has tested 1,70,01,048 samples for Covid-19 so far, the bulletin added.  

Assam

Assam reported 5 fatalities due to Covid-19, while 570 more people tested positive pushing the caseload to 5,89,426, the National Health Mission said. The Covid-19 death toll in the state has reached to 5,660.
