On Friday, India has reported 58,077 fresh Covid-19 cases, along with 657 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. The country has also reported 1,50,407 recoveries in the last 24 hours. 

Expansion of Covid Precaution dose 

"The decision about expansion of 'precaution dose' or booster against Covid-19 to adults below 60 years will be taken based on scientific assessment of need in local population, whereas lowering of age for Covid vaccination to include children below 15 years is under scientific consideration", said Niti Aayog member health Dr V K Paul said.

Travel guidelines revised for International travelers 

On Thursday, the government has revised the travel guidelines for international arrivals, removing the category of 'at risk' countries - introduced when the Omicron Covid variant emerged - and also recommending self-monitoring of 14 days for symptoms.
