On Tuesday, India reported 6,594 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 4,035 recoveries in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. The active caseload stands at 50,548, as per the ministry. The total tally of recoveries has reached 4,26,61,370, said the ministry. 

The recovery rate currently stands at 98.67 percent, while the daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 2.05 percent and 2.32 percent respectively, the data showed.

As per the data shared by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a total of 85,54,30,752 samples have been tested for Covid-19 to date including 3,21,873 samples tested in the last 24 hours. 

Maharashtra 

In the last 24 hours, the Thane district of Maharashtra reported 429 fresh cases of coronavirus, pushing the total tally of infections to 7,14,698, said the state health department. 

Karnataka 

On Monday, Karnataka reported 415 fresh Covid-19 cases with a positivity rate standing at 2.56 percent, as per the state health bulletin. Meanwhile, Bengaluru reported 400 fresh cases of Covid-19. 

Delhi 

On Monday, the national capital registered 614 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with no fresh fatality and the positivity rate standing at 7.06 percent, as per the report by the city's health department.
