On Wednesday, June 15, India reported 8,822 fresh cases of coronavirus along with 15 fresh fatalities and 5,718 people recovering from the deadly infection in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the total tally of Covid-19 infections in the nation has climbed to 4,32,45,517 and the total death toll has reached 5,24,792, said the ministry.
At present, the active caseload in the nation comprising 0.12 percent of the total infections has reached 53,637, the ministry said. The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 2 percent and 2.35 percent respectively.

As per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), so far, a total of 85.58 Crore samples have been tested for Covid-19, including 4,40,278 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
Maharashtra
On Tuesday, Maharashtra logged 2,956 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of infections in the state to 79,15,418, as per the state health department. As per the health bulletin, a total of 2,165 people have recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally of recoveries to reach 77,49,276.
Delhi
On Tuesday, the national capital logged 1,118 fresh cases of coronavirus, as per the city's health department. With the positivity rate standing at 6.50 percent, the active caseload stands at 3,177, said the bulletin.
