On Tuesday, June 21, India reported 9,923 fresh cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally of infections to reach 4,33,19,396, as per the data shared by the Union Health Ministry. Comprising 0.18 percent of the total infections, the active caseload in the nation has reached 79,313, as per the ministry.
With 17 fresh fatalities being recorded in the last 24 hours, the death toll stands at 5,24,890, said the data. With the recovery rate standing at 98.61 percent, the total number of recoveries in the nation has climbed to 4,27,15,193, while the fatality rate has reached 1.21 percent, said the ministry.

The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 2.55 percent and 2.67 percent respectively, said the ministry. On Monday, India registered 12,781 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with 18 fresh fatalities.
Uttar Pradesh
On Monday, the caseload of active Covid-19 cases climbed to 2,825 including 467 fresh cases being recorded in the last 24 hours.
Delhi
As per the data shared by the city's health department on Monday, the national capital logged 1,600 fresh cases of Covid-19 along with 6 fresh fatalities, with positivity rate standing at 10.09 percent.
Maharashtra
On Monday, Maharashtra reported 2,345 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the overall caseload to 79,38,103 and the death toll to 1,47,888, as per the health department.
