On Saturday, India has reported 2,68,833 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the total case tally in the country stands at 3,68,50,962, said the health ministry in the recent data update. With 402 fresh fatalities due to the virus, the caseload of total fatalities in India has climbed to 485,752, while active cases rose to 14,17,820, the ministry said. 

The ministry said, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 16.66 per cent, which is higher from 14.78 per cent yesterday, while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 11.83 per cent. The active cases comprise 3.85 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate decreased to 94.83 per cent, the ministry said on Friday. 

Omicron tally in the country has reached to 6,041. 

Delhi

On Friday, Delhi has reported 24,383 fresh Covid-19 cases and 34 deaths, the positivity rate has reached to 30.64 per cent. The total caseload of Covid-19 infections has climbed to 16,70,966 and the death toll has reached to 25,305. At present, there are 92,273 active cases in the city, of which 64,831 are in home isolation.
