On Saturday, India registered 3,688 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With 50 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Covid-19-related death toll in the country has reached 5,23,803.

As per the Union Health Ministry, the active cases in the nation stand at 18,684, comprising 0.04 percent of the total infections. With 2,755 fresh recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours, the total caseload of recoveries in the country has reached 4,25,33,377, and the recovery rate stands at 98.74 percent, as per the ministry. 

Thane 

In the Thane district of Maharashtra, 12 fresh cases of Covid-19 have been reported on Friday, taking the infection count to 7,09,035, said an official. With one fresh fatality, the death toll in the district has climbed to 11,893, said the official. 

Delhi 

On Saturday, Delhi registered 1,607 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 2 virus-related fatalities in the last 24 hours, said the state health department. The Covid-19 positivity rate in the national capital stands at 5.28 percent. With fresh cases, the total tally of Covid-19 cases has reached 18,81,555 and the death toll has climbed to 26,174, as per the health bulletin. 

West Bengal 

On Friday, West Bengal reported 53 fresh cases, taking the total tally of Covid-19 to 20,18,205, as per the Health Department. With no fresh fatality, the death toll in the state remained unchanged at 21,201, said the department.
