On Thursday, July 07, India reported 18,930 fresh Covid-19 cases along with 35 people succumbing to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, as per the data updated by the Union Health Ministry. With this, the death toll has climbed to 5,24,305, said the ministry.
Comprising 0.27 percent of the total infections, the active cases in the nation stand at 1,19,457, as per the data. With the recovery rate standing at 98.52 percent, the total tally of recoveries from the deadly infection has climbed to 4,29,21,977, including 14,650 recoveries in the last 24 hours, said the data.

The daily positivity rate and the weekly positivity rate stand at 4.32 percent and 3.86 percent respectively, showed the data.
Thane
On Wednesday, Maharashtra's Thane district reported 358 fresh cases of coronavirus, taking the total tally of infections to 7,30,427, as said by an official on Thursday. The active caseload currently stands at 3,455, said the official. With no fresh fatality being reported in the last 24 hours, the death toll remains unchanged at 11,909 and the recovery tally has reached 7,14,704, the official said.
Tamil Nadu
On Wednesday, Tamil Nadu logged 2,743, taking the caseload to reach 34,90,834, as per the state health department. With no fresh fatality being reported in the last 24 hours, the death toll has remained unchanged at 38,027, said the health department.
Delhi
The national capital reported 600 fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours along with one fresh fatality, with a positivity rate standing at 3.27 percent, as per the state health department.
