On Monday, India logged 25,467 new cases of Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, taking the overall tally of Covid cases in the country to reach 32,474,773, according to data updated by the Union health ministry at 9am. 

As per the released data, India has reported 39,486 recoveries in the last 24 hours. Total Recoveries in the country stands at 3,17,20,112. The recovery rate of the country from the deadly infection has increased to 97.68% which is highest since March 2020. 

Active Covid-19 caseload in the country stands at 3,19,551 which is the lowest in 156 days. Active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.98% which is the lowest ever since March 2020. 

In the country, total 58.89 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far. The caseload of deaths due to infection has reached 4,35,110 with 354 fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours, according to the data.
