On Wednesday, India's daily tally of Covid-19 saw a major increase as 37,593 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 32,512,366, according to the Union health ministry's data update at 8am. Alongwith 648 fatalities and 34,169 recoveries from the viral disease. The cumulative count of deaths and recoveries has reached 435,758 and 31,754,281 respectively. 

Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, the cases of the Delta Plus variant of Covid-19 have climbed to 103 after 27 more infections were reported, the state health department updated on Tuesday. 

Kerala

24,296 fresh Covid-19 positive cases and 173 deaths were recorded in the state yesterday. 

Vaccinations

Dr Ashish Naik, Dy Municipal Commissioner said, "Turnover for 2nd dose of vaccine is less. We started 'Knock the Door' campaign for them. We are contacting beneficiaries & informing them about vaccine availability at nearby vaccination centre. This will help in vaccinating them fully."
