On Friday, India recorded 36,571 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours ending at 8 am. Active cases now stands at 3.63 lakh and the recovery rate reached to 97.52%. Moreover, 540 new deaths were reported, with Kerala reporting the highest single day fatalities, at 197, followed by Maharashtra’s 158 deaths.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, "a Covid-19 vaccine for children could be launched very soon, and the results of an ongoing research regarding the same is likely to arrive next month."
Delhi recorded 25 fresh Covid-19 cases which is the lowest since April 15, 2020. "Delhi’s stock of Covid-19 vaccines will only last for three more days", a vaccination bulletin issued by the state government has stated.
"The national capital's stock of anti-coronavirus vaccine will only last for three days", according to a vaccination bulletin issued by the Delhi government on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, the bulletin stated, "the balance stock of the vaccines, Covaxin and Covishield was 2,36,330 and 3,05,990 doses, respectively. 30,160 doses of Covaxin were added to the stock on Wednesday. In all, the Delhi government has received 1,11,53,350 doses of vaccine to date, out of which, 27,58,660 doses were of Covaxin, and the remaining Covishield."
