India has reported a fall in daily Covid-19 cases at 30,941 fresh cases in the last 24 hours which is over 11,000 infections lower than yesterday. As per the data released by Health Ministry, "active cases account for 1.13% of total cases. Daily positivity rate in the country stands at 2.22%. The active caseload stands at 3,70,640. A total of 52.15 crore tests have been conducted in India so far. On Monday, the Indian Council of Medical Research tested 13,94,573 samples. 36,275 recoveries in the last 24 hours has taken the total number of recoveries in the country to 3,19,59,680. The current recovery rate in India is 97.53%. At present, India's active caseload stands at 3,70,640. Out of 30,941 fresh Covid-19 cases & 350 deaths due to the infection, Kerala reported 19,622 cases & 132 deaths in the last 24 hours."
Meanwhile, on Monday, the Karnataka Health & Medical Education Minister Dr. K Sudhakar said, "We are aiming to vaccinate 5 lakh people every day from now onwards. On Wednesday during a special vaccination drive, the target is to vaccinate at least 10 lakh people. This will ensure 1.5 to 2 crore doses in one month. We are aiming to make Bengaluru the first metro city to complete vaccination for all its eligible residents."
According to the reports of Reuters, "European Union governments agreed to remove the United States from the EU's safe travel list, meaning US visitors and those from five other countries are likely to face tighter controls, such as Covid-19 tests and quarantines."
