In the last 24 hours, India has reported 32,988 recoveries along with 44,658 fresh cases and 496 deaths on Friday. Active casleoad of Covid-19 in the country stands at 3,44,899. The death toll in India has now reached 4,36,861. As reported by ANI, total number of samples tested up to August 26 is 51,49,54,309 including 18,24,931 samples tested yesterday.

"Kerala has registerd 30,007 fresh cases and 162 deaths due to Covid-19 infection. Mizoram has recorded 905 new cases and 4 deaths in the last 24 hours. Active cases stands at 7470, total death toll has reached 206 along with 48,080 recoveries", reported ANI. 

Meanwhile, the health ministry has released a revised set of guidelines on domestic travel. The ministry has advised states to exempt fully vaccinated travelers from the mandatory requirement of furnishing a negative RT-PCR test or RAT report on entry, reported by News18.
