When one just goes down because of a suspected heart attack, cardiac arrest, or heart stroke, take quick action; every minute counts.
Check safety and responsiveness—make sure that the scene is secure. Tap and shout to check whether they respond.
Call an ambulance (108/112 in India, 911 in other countries). Request someone to bring an AED (in case).
Check breathing—no normal breathing or just a few gasps—and begin Hands-Only CPR: Push hard and fast in the midline of the chest, 100-120 compressions/minute.
Use within AED as it comes and has voice prompts.
Keep trying to help until somebody is available or the individual presents signs of life.
