'Bisleri' chairman declared Jayanti Chauhan as his heir instead of selling the company

Bisleri International Chairman Ramesh Chauhan declared his daughter Jayanti Chauhan as the future head of the the bottled water company.

Bisleri International Chairman Ramesh Chauhan declared his daughter Jayanti Chauhan as the future head of the the bottled water company. 

The Bisleri Chairman while speaking to Economic Times said "Jayanti will run the company with our professional team and we do not want to sell the business".  Thus he revealed that he has no intentions of selling the business and had not discussed with any party for the same. He also clarified that his daughter will would continue running the company with the professional team headed by CEO Angelo George. 

Currently 42 year old Jayanti Chauhan is the vice chairperson at the company that Mr.Chauhan had promoted and built.  She has been an active participant in the business since years. Recently she is also looking upon the Vedika brand, which is part of Bisleri's portfolio. 

The website of the company states, "She is driving innovation at Bisleri and ensures that each and every department functions to the maximum. Ms. Chauhan provides key insights in marketing and branding along with a keen interest in Digital Marketing and is completely involved in advertising and communication development at Bisleri”. 

In a regulatory update, TCPL said "In this regard, the company wishes to update that it has now ceased negotiations with Bisleri with regard to a potential transaction and to confirm that the company has not entered into any definitive agreement or binding commitment on this matter," the company stated. However it is believed that the company was negotiating about something with the TATA group. However the deal failed.
