India has reported 43,393 new cases and 911 deaths in last 24 hours on Friday. The country's active caseload is now standing at 4,58,727, constituting 1.49% of total cases. Daily positivity rate continues to be less than 3% for the 18 consecutive day. 

As per the data of Ministry of health, "The recovery rate in India is at 97.2% today. There has been a decline of 8% in average daily new cases in the last week. 80% of the new cases reported from 90 districts. Average daily new cases declined from 3,89,803 cases between 1st-7th May to 42,100 cases between 3rd July - 9th July. We are still dealing with the second wave of Covid-19. We need to continue the display of Covid-19 appropriate behaviour." 

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), India has tested 42,70,16,605 samples for Covid-19 until now. 

So far 36,89,91,222 anti-Covid jabs are administered in the country. Among these, 40,23,173 doses were given in the last 24 hours.
