The festival of Diwali is on 4 November. In such a situation, along with Diwali, the discussion on firecrackers and pollution has started. Children are eagerly waiting for firecrackers, but many state governments have banned firecrackers to prevent air pollution. Keeping in mind the health and environment of the people, now green crackers are being discussed.
What are green crackers?
Green colored crackers are specially prepared. It is believed that it causes much less pollution than normal firecrackers. It looks like normal firecrackers. There are three types of green crackers - safe water releaser, safe thermite cracker and safe minimal aluminum crackers. Green crackers also contain polluting chemicals such as aluminium, barium, potassium nitrate and carbon, but in smaller quantities. At the same time, in some green crackers these chemicals are not used at all.
What are the benefits of green crackers?
Green crackers do not contain harmful chemicals that promote air pollution. Therefore, with their help, air pollution can be prevented from increasing. Developed by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, green crackers cause 30 percent less pollution than normal firecrackers.
