In a shocking incident that unfolded in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur, a man and his wife met a tragic fate as they were mercilessly beaten to death with iron rods and sticks by their own neighbors. The horrifying incident, which occurred on Friday, has led to the arrest of three individuals by the local police. The motive behind this gruesome crime is believed to be linked to a romantic affair involving the son of the victims and the daughter of one of the accused.

The victims have been identified as Abbas and Kamrul Nisha, a couple who were attacked by their neighbors, resulting in their immediate deaths. A History of Romantic Entanglement

According to Sitapur's Superintendent of Police, Chakresh Mishra, the tragedy is rooted in a past romantic affair. A few years ago, Abbas's son had eloped with a girl from the adjacent household, igniting a legal battle. The young couple's actions led to legal repercussions, and Abbas's son was incarcerated for his involvement.

Tragic Reunion Leads to Brutality

The situation took a dark turn when Abbas's son was released from jail just a few days prior to the incident. Allegedly, some members of the neighboring family devised a sinister plan to seek vengeance against the couple. Reports suggest that an affair had developed between the deceased couple's son, Shaukat, and the daughter of one of the accused, Ruby. Shaukat had previously abducted Ruby in 2020 when she was a minor. A case was registered, leading to Shaukat's imprisonment. However, he abducted and married Ruby again in June, adding further complexity to the situation.

Police Investigation and Arrests

Authorities have promptly taken action, arresting three key suspects in connection with the double murder. A search is also underway to apprehend two more individuals believed to be involved in the crime.
