An outrageous case of perceived road rage and entitlement has emerged in the Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh. At approximately 7.30 am in the periphery of the Karera police station on April 16, 2026, Dinesh Lodhi, the son of BJP MLA Pritam Lodhi (Pichhore constituency), allegedly drove his Mahindra Thar SUV over a motorcycle and two women on the footpath.
The victims were all injured; five of them, including Sanjay Parihar, Ashish Parihar, Anshul Parihar, Sita Verma, and Pooja Soni, were all hospitalized. The numberless Thar carried a mark supposedly of Vidhayak and Pritam Lodhi.
It was photographed on a viral video as Dinesh talks to the injured, claiming that he was ringing the siren, but why not move, Dinesh said? He also is reported to have threatened bystanders against filming. He has been registered with the police over a case in the BNS section as a result of rash driving and endangering life. The car was impounded, but Dinesh has not been arrested yet. The MLA, Pritam Lodhi, said that nobody is above the law and the police must see justice done. The accident has caused global outrage in the case of abuse of power.
